Design Tips

Tile Flooring Tips

1. Ceramic tile offers a versatile look with a large selection of sizes, colors, and textures. Large format tiles in neutral colors are the hottest trend currently. When designing, large tiles allow display patterns and other distinctive arrangements to be more pronounced and contribute a refreshing alternative to standard twelve inch square tiles.

2. Porcelain tiles can often be found in bathrooms, while glazed is typically preferred for kitchens or higher traffic areas. Glazed ceramic tiles have a durable coating and can include non slip finishes that are both attractive and practical.

3. But ceramic is not limited to flooring. It can be used to create wall designs or backsplashes, as well. Be sure to talk to your sales professional about the wide variety of complementary trim and molding pieces available. He or she can help you put together the right combination of tile and trim to create a personalized design to add a unique look to your beautiful and functional new ceramic floor.

4. Stone is another tile option that lends a distinguished and elegant look. Stone features fewer styles than ceramic, but the unique characteristics resulting from its natural construction ensure your new stone floor will be one of a kind. Be sure to discuss stone options with your sales professional, as well.
