1. Carpet is a perennial favorite, adding beauty, style, and a warm, comfortable element to any home. Carpet is the “fifth wall” in any room, and traditionally, they have served as a neutral backdrop, allowing paint and furniture to take center stage; however, exciting new colors and patterns allow you to make carpet an integral focal point in any furnished design scheme.
2. The key is balance. If you have a vibrantly colored carpet in an elaborate pattern, be sure to select a complimentary wall color. Furniture should be neutral and free of colors or patterns that might clash with your carpet and wall combination.
